What is Life Teen?

Leading our youth closer to Christ is our primary goal here at Divine Saviour Parish Youth Ministry. We do this in four different ways.




SPIRITUAL
Life Teen exists to help teens develop an individual relationship with God. The primary development of this relationship happens through the Mass. The Mass provides teens and their families with a liturgical experience that is geared to meet the spiritual needs of the young person. Our LifeTeen Mass takes place every Sunday at 5pm.
EDUCATIONAL
Life Teen exists to share the truth with teens. Our young people need and deserve to hear the truth of the Roman Catholic Church. In a world where so many teens are disinterested in God and the Church, we use creative Bible studies, discussions and personal experiences to bring the Catholic faith alive.
EMOTIONAL                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Life Teen exists to provide emotional support to our teens. We strive to create an atmosphere that is open, where teens feel loved and accepted along with being able to express their emotions. Our greatest desire is that at Life Teen, young people would experience the unconditional love of Christ.
SOCIAL
Life Teen exists to provide a community where everyone is invited to experience the fullness of Life through fun and exciting activities, sports and games.Through service and outreach programs, teens will experience the call to truly be disciples of Christ.

Life Teen Events

What are Life Nights?

Life Nights are the catechetical component of the Life Teen program. Life Nights present the Catholic faith in a non-classroom format, making the faith relevant for teens today. The flow of a Life Night follows the flow of the Mass – Gather, Proclaim, Break, and Send.
  • Issue Life Nights deal with specific “real world issues” that teens deal with (i.e. drinking, gossip, chastity, etc.). These nights help teens see how their Catholic faith is relevant to every aspect of their lives.
  • Social Life Nights build Christian community and friendships.                                                                                   

Who Are Life Nights for?

Life Nights are for high school age teens (ages 13-18 or grades 9-12) who are looking to share faith and grow in friendship with each other and with God.

When and Where are Life Nights?

Life Nights will take place every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month in the Auditorium from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

21st –Life Night – 6:30-8:30pm

June 2014
4th –Life Night – 6:30-8:30pm

July 2014
2nd –Life Night – 6:30-8:30pm
16th –Life Night – 6:30-8:30pm
